I find it a little disingenuous Trudeau complaining that Trump is trying to collapse the Canadian economy when that's exactly what Trudeau has been doing since 2015.

I’m Canadian, and work in trades and building management. Every part for every machine I work on is made in America, and they’re generally specific to the manufacturer and the model. The problem with globalized, integrated economies is that we become reliant on our trading partners, and they gain leverage over us. I don’t blame Trump for doing what he thinks of right for his country, I blame the politicians in my own country for not pursuing economic policies that would make us self-sufficient.

As a Canadian, I'm in favor of the U.S. tariffs on my country. We need to produce more domestically as well. Everyone is up in arms here because it will effect us short term. I say it's a kick in the behind to restart our own economy. We never should have let our industries go overseas just like the states did. We have all the resources here, only thing stopping us from booming is politics and the culture of welfare lackies.
