Best, toughest flashlight i ever bought. After a years use, i loved it enough to get a second one.
Heres what sold me.
If you leave the light on in any of the 5 lighting options, the next click will turm it off as long as you leave it there for 5 seconds.
When you turn it on again, it will turn on in the same lighting choice as when you turned it off.
no clicking 5 times every time you use it, to turned it off.
Second is the durability.
I finished installing a U-joint as it was nearing darkness. I had the icon under the truck on the frame, pointing down.
I scurried getting tools cleaned up to take it on a quick 'round the block test drive.
As I idled very slowly down my bumpy driveway to the paved road in my S10, it felt like i bottomed a small jolt. OK, nevermind, i thought.
Returning up thebgravel driveway 5 minutes later there was a light staring at me, 1/2 way up the driveway. It was my ICON. 😱
The aluminum base with the magnet had a small dent.
plastic top end survived so well, I could not tell where it contacted the gravel road when i bottomed out my pickup between the frame and flashlight.
😱
That may be a Chinesium flashlight, but they use the high end Chineseum reinforced plastic. Two years of everyday use and the switch performs like new. The tension in the swingarm part of the flashlight is still strong and stays where you put it.
I hope they continue making this one. I love this thang.

These are great lights, the battery choice HFT uses makes them doo doo tho. I swap mine right away.

Incredible light for the price, but would rather be able to swap for one of my protected 3600mAh batteries. It has great runtime on low (5 hours is the longest I've tested so far without issues), but I want a light that's going to last a nice long time on high, and ideally be a quick swap when it's low.

Yeah, the battery setup is a deal killer for me. The braun has a screw off cap for battery removal, and the same rechargable batteries that fit most vape devices, will also work in the Braun.

Like the original one better...Braun/Quantum one

You probably won't be able to buy the 18650 battery with that connector on it from most sources.. you would need to remove it from old battery and resolder/weld it on new one, then shrink wrap it again. 🙁

Thanks for the video. You don't happen to know how many Amps this battery has, do you? Or the length?

Hello like the way you took it apart. Mine is not charging. Do you have video on bow to replace it?

Do you have a link to part number from Amazon or wherever you bought it? I see ones with that style plug but with longer leads. Not sure if it will all fit with the longer leads.

yeah no, i'll stick to the braun light. i have a 4 bank charger and i quick swap batteries as they get used in the shop. a touch of anti seize on the threads and it'll last for years or until we drop it in a drain pan.

Fantastic for the $20 on sale.

This looks hard when you put it back together.

can the light be flipped around so it's facing the correct direction?

Nice tutorial. This stupid battery is gonna be a deal breaker for many. Sad because the rest of the light’s features are better than the Braun.
