Ypres, City of Peace (#WorldTourismDay)

It is the unofficial capital of Flanders Fields, site of numerous battles during the First World War. The “City of Peace” still commemorates these events daily, at the In Flanders Fields Museum and under its Menin Gate memorial.

World Tourism Day 2024, under the theme "Tourism and Peace", wants to highlight the vital role of this sector in fostering peace and understanding between nations and cultures and in supporting reconciliation processes.
