I bought one of these. My lawn is very dry right now so I tried to moisten the soil first with watering, but then the cylinder on one side started clogging and eventually required a Mallet and screw driver to remove the cores. do you have any tips on how to avoid clogging?

I have one of these and the soil clogs in the tube's all the time even after I have moistened the soil how do I stop that??
