Ordered essentially the same kit the day after Beetles played on Ed Sullivan show. My snare was metal. The hardware was nickel. Still have it play everyday.

It's just like Ringo's kit except his had a Rogers rack tom mount instead of the stock Ludwig rail mount. Beautiful drum set!

Since I'm 2 Years Old I have played a black oyster pearl Ludwig 1963 except with the chrome snare that my dad said It was the notch above the snare Ringo had on his... even the stool, all stands and hi-hat, original zildjian cymbals and all... except my father tought the bass drum pedal (Speed King) was thrash and... well he trashed It!!! Oh well... I even have the original transport bags In kind of Kaki green

I have the same 67 kit, but in blue oyster pearl, with a Supraphonic snare.
Love it and won’t ever part with it..

He played both. He got the 22 inch when they started playing bigger venues.Check out 'The Drum Book' by Geoff Nicholls for the full story.

2008alde: actually he played both. His first ludwig was in June 1963. It was a downbeat set (12, 14, 20). Prior to the recording of the album Help, he got the larger super classic (13, 16, 22) which he played until 1969 when he got the Ludwig Hollywood kit.

Not a fan of Ringo myself, but damn did he play beautiful sets.

Except on Ringo's drum kit, the TomTom holder was made from Rogers Hardware.

Ringo also used a Buck Rogers snare stand, this kit doesn't have one.

Good one "ringo" but I suspect Mr Richard Starkey has better things to do than run his own youtube page

Unfortunately, Ringo played a 20 in BD not a 22 Inch

La batería original de The Beatles tenía el tom en un atril, no iba agarrado al bombo...
