*Russian.*
Chorus.
Мне кажется порою, что солдаты
С кровавых не пришедшие полей,
Не в землю нашу полегли когда-то,
А превратились в белых журавлей.

I.

III.
Настанет день и с журавлиной стаей
Я поплыву в такой же сизой мгле.
Из-под небес по-птичьи окликая
Всех вас, кого оставил на земле.

*Romanized.*
Chorus.
Mne kazhetsya poroyu, chto soldaty
S krovavykh ne prishedshiye poley,
Ne v zemlyu nashu polegli kogda-to,
A prevratilis' v belykh zhuravley.

I.
Oni do sey pory s vremyon tekh dal'nikh
Letyat i podayut nam golosa.
Ne potomu l' tak chasto i pechal'no
My zamolkaem glyadya v nebesa?

II.
Letit, letit po nebu klin ustalyy,
Letit v tumane na iskhode dnya.
I v tom stroyu yest' promezhutok malyy -
Byt' mozhet eto mesto dlya menya.

III.
Nastanet den' i zhuravlinoy stayey
Ya poplyvu v takoy zhe sizoy mglye.
Iz-pod nebes po-ptich'i oklikaya
Vsekh vas, kogo ostavil na zemlye.

________
*English.*
Chorus.
At times, it seems that the fallen soldiers
Who have never returned from the bloody fields,
Were not buried under the ground,
But rather, turned into cranes as white as snow.

I.
They have been flying since the days of old,
They dart overhead and cry.
Is it not why we often fall silent,
Gazing at the sky with melancholy?

II.
An exhausted flock of cranes flies across the sky,
Flying in the mist at the break of day.
And in that formation, there is a small gap,
Perhaps it is a place reserved for me.

III.
The day will come when, in a crane's flock,
I will sail in the same gray mist,
Calling out, like a bird,
To all of you whom I have left behind on Earth.

Hey brother, i just came from your other russian song video (Tyomnaya noch) and that was the video which made me start learning Russian. And it's been 8 days learning it from Duolingo. Now I can read every russian alphabet and can read ( but can't understand ) everything written in Russian with most of times bad or even wrong pronunciation but it's been just 8 days. Bro your videos helped me a lot. I'm so happy seeing this one. Now I have two videos to watch. I know perhaps the words of this stranger have no meaning for you but bro Can You Make More Videos Like This? Like more translated Russian translated war songs. Your tyomnaya noch video is helping me a lot. Thank you for posting it. I know that these videos are not earning you bread or maybe you don't even like to edit these videos. But if you do I'll be grateful for it and surely watch it. May Allah bless you brother. Thanks again. Спасибо :)

Dunno why, this song reminds me Plato's "Swan Song".
