Following the declaration of one vote as invalid in the election of six members of a crucial municipal committee by Delhi's newly elected Mayor Shelly Oberoi, a large physical altercation between BJP and AAP councillors broke out inside the civic body's premises on Friday. Oberoi said that there won't be a recount of the ballots cast to choose the six members of the Standing Committee. Due to the BJP chanting anti-Mayor chants inside the House, there was tremendous drama as a result. Footage revealed Delhi's Municipal Corporation workers shoving, hitting, and kicking one another. In the midst of the turmoil, one Aam Aadmi Party councillor also collapsed to the ground. Only hours after Shelly Oberoi of the AAP was chosen as the city of Delhi's new mayor, voting for the Standing Committee members got under way on Wednesday evening. Listen In!
