My grandma sometimes sang this song. She died almost 7 months ago. She would sometimes just walk around, softly singing “Thank you for the music…” to herself. I never knew the song, until I actually heard it on the cruise I went on this October. The cruise she was supposed to go on with us.
This song reminds me of her and it makes me feel sad, yet happy at the same time. If she was still alive now I would definitely finish the lyrics if she would sing it to herself. If she would go “Thank you for the music…” I would follow up with “the songs I’m singing”
Now I just sing it myself, hoping her spirit will hear me.
