Listened to full SRS interview. McPhee is just different. Tons of heroism with all the soldiers on the show but John is perfect mix of average guy vernacular, highly trained psychopath, that understands about mission success & team strength & wellness. I know a lot of guys similar to him had rough younger years. Its just incredible he found his way out & just as great what he has continued after leaving the active military. Thank you.

John, you have that same wild-eyed look you had the first time I saw you but with a new look added of compassion! Your view on the world after doing and seeing all you have is simply amazing and has helped many guys tremendously. You are a beast still! You and I crossed paths during GWOT, and you were the most intimidating scariest dude I had ever met. I will never forget going out within a small unit of guys, including some contractors with you. Whenever we were leaving, not saying why, what or where, but as we were leaving someone was talking about how dangerous it was leaving the FOB because at the time insurgence would regularly pop shots off at anyone leaving not too far outside the FOB. It had been primarily inaccurate fire but on occasion they would get lucky and someone would get wounded and you said, "You guys think leaving the FOB is dangerous, imagine coming back in after being deep inside the enemy's world for an extended period of time living and looking like they did with a very limited amount of command even knowing your whereabouts and what your movements were including when you are coming in. It was difficult for them to tell I was not the enemy, especially by my appearance. Now, that is when it gets exciting." You then gave that half-ass sinister grin looking like you were having the time of your life! Keep on keeping on! Never done!
