The Bosphorus is called in Turkish "Istanbul Boğazı" (Throat). It is a busy waterway and this Bosporus strait is connecting the Black Sea and the Marmara Sea. One side is Europe and on the other is Asia. Both shores are lined with beautiful Yalıs. A Yalı is a Bosphorus seafront mansion. I cruised along the European shore of the Bosporus.
