Coast Guard Vet here. These RHIB'S (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats were also carried by some of our large ships, which had hoist systems to deploy the boat to and from the water. So, those lift points aren't just for deployment from helicopters. Just looked at the comments and saw other coasties pointing out the same. Sorry for being repetitive.

I would like to see more videos about the progress of the small islands around Florida that got hit from the last storm they had. I bet that boat could do some good there!!

That's an OTH MK3, I used to work on one at my last unit on the USCG Decisive! Those boats are a blast, if you need any maintenance cards on how to work on it I can send them over to you.

One of the few that continuously thanks the viewers and stays humble
I wish you the success it’s gonna take to maintain this new fleet

Keep the radar and don’t paint it. The radar will do you more good than a seat on top. Paint on the radar dome can cause problems and possibly damage the radar. That dome is designed to allow microwave radiation to pass through Unimpeded while paint may create reflections or heat up due to microwave radiation.

Brandon I already commented once, but I want to add, that it's cool how you are appreciative of your viewers. I'm a sub to a lot of channels that have grown, and frankly they seem to take the viewers for granted. So thank you for thanking us, and I can't wait to see you busting this thing through some small craft advisories.

I was in the Coast Guard back in the early 90's. we had an RHI (rigid hook inflatable attached to our vessel. we were able to deploy it at anytime. the seats were very similar to a snow mobile (in line seating).. enjoy that boat, we used to have a blast on ours....Thanks for the videos,

Am a boat captain... when all seats are occupied next time don't put more weight on the stern/back of the boat, rather in the middle of the hull or the bow but since the captain is at the bow just put the weight in the middle seats. Less pressure on the engine makes it easier to plane off and so the keel can cut the water better. I hope you see this and i love all of your videos❤️

We replaced our Mk. 2 that was attached to our USCG Cutter earlier this year. It's a great boat, but all of the Coast Guard small boats have speed governers, so I would recommend taking that off to get the full performance.

Actually, those heavy duty hooks are primarily for lifting the boat into a coast guard cutter or into a military ship... the fact that it can be done with a helicopter is just a bonus...Looks like the perfect boat for you to take Jake and Tristan diving off of in the keys... So when are you getting the retired Coast guard Cutter or retired PT boat?

I got to go to RHIB training school while in the Coast Guard where we learned to "jump" these properly, unofficially of course. Was a Coxswain on the 21 RHIB and 41 UTB (North Bay San Fran) for 5 yrs. When pulling the RHIB to "hard to reach" areas we would have to drive code 3, lights and sirens on the truck then drop the boat near the emergency. I recall using the same trailer in your picture. Having pulled a 21' ft boat, code three at 100 mph'ish, its a solid trailer. We did lose a wheel once, at the launch ramp....bad bearing buddy. Fun solid boats, even in Alaskan waters they handled well. Good buy, take care of those sponsons!

I helped Zodiac design that boat in the mid 2000s. It’ll beat the cartilage out of your knees and smash your disc but we put a lot of work in with that boat.

Dang dude! Your channel defiantly upgraded to a new level! I'm excited to see what you're going to do with all of these new projects you got! And of course, good luck with fixing them up.

I was in the Coast Guard and that was the first small boat I got qualified on. Those are small boats or OTH over the horizon boats. Those attachment points are for the hoist system to raise the boat out of the water and then gets cradled on the cutter. Lots of memories on that!
