They have Red Vines (the regular variety) at Rexall in my area in Ontario. That’s how I tried them for the first time. I don’t like gingerbread, but I do like butter tarts!

I like both black and red licorice, . Red in the twist form and black in those little candy coated things.

My mother lived off of dentene cinnamon years or chicory gum. I loved bubble gum the two different flavors. Learning to blow a bubble. My dog doesn’t like bubbles sends her into shake mode. Juicy fruit is good the flavoring just dust last my gripe with them. She ‘s now elderly but still a puppy tries to be.

In the US, there’s a rivalry between Twizzlers and Red Vines fans. Red Vines have a drier, chewier texture and the red ones are an artificial cherry flavor while Twizzlers are softer, stickier and the red ones are an artificial strawberry flavor. I’m more of a Twizzlers person, but like to leave a new pkg open for a few days to dry out a little. And licorice is a flavor/ingredient that’s usually brown/black. The red and other ones are just “rope candy.”

I grew up with Red Vines & have been eating them my entire life! I love black licorice too but I also eat the red. Red Vines has a grape flavor as well but it's very hard to find! I've never seen the Gingerbread flavor in any of my stores but I must try NOW!

I am a huge Red Vines fan. You can get them in black and red, and they have a freshness to them. Twizzlers are ok, but have such a different texture to them & the flavors are a bit different. I love both black & red, I need to go buy some right now...yummy!!! 😋
