The project “CLOSER II” is a youth mobility Erasmus+ project that took place on 19-23 April 2024 in Thebes (Thiva), a small city in Boeotia regional unit, one of the most ancient cities in Greece and the whole world.
Field exercises, simulations, screenings, educational visits, play-roles, improvisations, outdoor activities, discussions and sharing of ideas, critical thoughts, analyses and presentations provided opportunities for reflection of young participants on challenges towards a technologically advanced, environmentally aware and just, cohesive and inclusive, participatory, democratic and sustainable Europe in future.
Below are the topics of the project, its acronym:
Contribute in the achievement of ambition for a more inclusive, greener, more digital and more resilient EU.
Learn about the intercultural dialogue and breaking down prejudices and stereotypes taking into account that sustainable social, economic, cultural, environmental change is not possible without mutual understanding and intercultural competence.
Obtain skills and attitudes for a life with quality and a prosperous professional future, with focus on those with fewer opportunities and disadvantaged persons.
Strengthen the sustainability, one of the sources for social changes.
Engage the people to discover the united Europe, empower founding values and common cultural heritage and act in society as responsible citizens with behaviors, attitudes, and actions that reflect positive concern and active membership in democracy, including the more traditional, electoral citizenship activities, such as voting.
Raise the public awareness to increase enthusiasm, altruism, voluntary and solidarity actions for the above socially relevant issues.
