Our loving and forgiving God.. when we repent he forgives. These words are the words of Jeremaiah from chpt 16 which describe our wonderful God who loves us unconditionally. So consoling to read at all times especially when trouble comes.... "O lord, my strength and my stronghold and my refuge in the day of trouble..

Dear Father Warner thank you for your teaching on chapter 16 of Jeremiah. The line that really spoke to me is “ O Lord, my fortress, my refuge in the day of distress ! Mere frauds are the heritage of our fathers, empty idols of no use” Good to remember in our weaknesses as humans who tend to make mere trifles more important than our Lord. God bless

The phrase that you mentioned really struck and so true that we imagine THE LORD GOD than really what 'HE IS'. This is because of our arrogance and ego and self centeredness which has become our moral competitive technological desires - building the tower of Babel. Each one has perceived THE LORD GOD pleasing to oneself and growing with a stubborn heart breaking all the limitations of Fear of The LORD.

If God takes away those 3 components from us, what will become of us...peace, steadfast love and mercy. Even dust might have a place at God's feet but we wont. I don't think anyone would want to live after that.Never knew black was a happy colour, thank you for the explanation. Verse 10 speaks about how people keep questioning about what sin they have done and those days they had only prophets to convict them of their sins, but thanks be to God today we have a Greater, Mightier helper to convict us of our sins...The Holy Spirit. Your words we don't want the revelation of God...but we want our imagination is so true. I have seen in my own life that when we repent and confess our sins God forgives...but a punishment remains ...as you mentioned the punishment is not for our destruction but for our restoration. Chapter ends with God's words like a soothing cool breeze in dry hot desert....that deep in His heart God still loves His people.Thank you Father Warner...Have a lovely time with family and friends.
