I once saw a post from a Native American who grew up in DC. He said nobody in his tribe was offended. Then he moved to a different state. The Native Americans in that state were offended... Half the country was offended, the other half wasn't - regardless of race.

When I was a child living in Boston I didn’t know native Americans still exist but now I live in Michigan and I’ve been with my man who is Native American and we have 3 beautiful children. Life is very interesting 😊❤

Since it was a common name for a school I'll be true with it. My highschool is still named Kickapoo to this day. One day randomly some parents got together to try and change it. The students at the time themselves fought and so far as to finding information how one of the initial primary funders for the building was from the Kickapoo tribe and requested the name. The name change got shut down real quick after that

I'm half Native, and I've only met a handful in my entire life, and I had to meet most on reservations. I've met like 4 in the wild lol all 4 were a single drywall crew on a site I worked. We were exterminated pretty effectively

Also as well most indigenous people are below the border believe it or not it’s kinda just United States and Canada who wiped the land that clean of its first people because they had the idea of a more segregated cultures where the Spanish didn’t care as long you paid and prayed . Mexico and all of Central America and South America have huge populations and some tribes alone in Mexico outnumber that of all tribes population in us.
