For such a long time I was coming over the top of the ball with the club and slicing everything out to the right. It was far more obvious the longer the club was with driver being the worst. I knew what I was doing wrong but I couldnt stop myself from doing it. I have watched dozens of slice fix videos on youtube and this video is the ONLY one that has worked. I have played 3 rounds since watching this video and the change is unbelievable. Im finding fairways far more often and with 20 yards extra than I used to get and for the first time in my life I am able to hit a slight draw. This tip was the visual key I needed to make sure my lower body cleared before impact. Rick I cannot thank you enough. I am enjoying golf again

I am very appreciative for this I can't tell you how much you helped my over the top/steep swing. It doesn't matter how much you focus on what body parts are doing and shallowing your swing, if you try to hit the ball at 6 you will come over the top everytime.

Great video. The club angle at impact/clock guide was extremely helpful. Cheers!

Great If you want to play better golf and enjoy the game more, please watch some of Rick's instructional and drilling videos. For me, Rick's got a knack of teaching the golf swing that has you thinking less and hitting better shots!!! With other golf instructors, I find myself thinking way to much to execute a proper swing. Rick has a gift. I don't overthink things about my swing. I watch and listen, then go to the range and execute. I think he should be recognized as one of the best teachers of the game. He has certainly changed my game by simply watching his YOUTUBE videos. Thanks tons Rick!!!

I've always had a big problem hitting in to out entering from 7 'O Clock with iron face in line with the target at address. Your tutorial has very simply explained how to do it without feeling awkward while making that swing! Thank you for the great instructions.

I love your emphasis about entrance on the ball, not swing. For those trying to develop a consistent swing, I think entering from 6 o'clock is the best advice. However, like you said, many pros never enter that way. Fundamentals are great, but its also important to score well by being able to correct things. Some players are just more comfortable entering from 7 o'clock, and they use correction knowledge to place balls well.

THANK YOU ! This is golden. Too many motions are physically demonstrated and not mentally understood.

Honest to god one of, if not the, best channels out there.

Rick if your trying to hit from 7 to 1 o'clock should the club face at setup be squared towards 12 o'clock or 1 o'clock which will feel like a open club face relative to 12 o'clock?

2:14 club is aggravatingly closed.

But I'm glad this is being addressed. Almost every good player (pro or top amateur) has a swing that approaches the ball from the inside and relatively shallow. Almost every lesser player has a swing that approaches from the outside and steep. And definitely the club doesn't move on a straight line through impact or anywhere else in the swing

Rick,
Do you mind doing another what's in my bag for this season please?
Also, do you have a review of the Titleist SM5 Wedges as I am looking to buy a 50, 54, 58 and 60, if not, can you do a review?
Thanks,
Max

what about on the takeaway? would you for instance take the club away more on the 7'o'clock line as well?

As mentioned below, simplify this method and Orient the clock properly.

No person stares at a clock or their wrist watch looking at the 3 o'clock position.
