And that’ll do it for 2022-23 Kentucky Basketball.

During the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday afternoon, No. 6 Kentucky’s season came to an end with a 75-69 loss to the No. 3 Kansas State Wildcats in Greensboro, NC. Poor outside shooting doomed UK, which made just four of its 20 attempts from three-point range. Despite outrebounding Kansas State 44-25, Kentucky turned the ball over twice as many times (16-8) in the loss.

Oscar Tshiebwe was his usual self in what was likely his last game in a Kentucky uniform. He posted 25 points and 18 rebounds on 8-13 shooting, although he did turn the ball over five times. Cason Wallace was also spectacular for the Wildcats, particularly in the second half, registering 21 points, nine rebounds, and four assists on 9-11 shooting, but also five turnovers of his own.

Kansas State has been the team to knock Kentucky out of the NCAA tournament in 2018 and 2023. They were the better team then and the better team now.

16 turnovers, no bench points, inconsistent 3point shooting = loosing.

When you have a coach that's not angry about losing during the season, not angry about losing the conference, doesn't even want to PLAY in the SEC tournament, you don't have a chance to win the NCAA tournament.

Lol tall guy is actually the sharp shooter on the team. Offensively he’s literally on the floor to shoot the 3.

Your Big O was a beast. Could not be stopped. You guys win the "look" contest, but KSTATE wins the heart contest, and the dude you wanted to shoot the 3, is a 40% plus 3 point shooter and has hit multiple clutch 3's. He is a better shooter from 3 than anyone you have. I heard a lot of griping about the refs from UK people. But if you asked 100 non biased people, 75 would say equal for both teams, 20 would say that UK got preferred treatment and 5 would say KSTATE got preferred treatment. Like most Calipari teams, they push and grab and elbow and shove, just like it should be done and a good percentage of it wasn't called. KSTATE didn't come close to matching the UK physical play as born out by the rebounding margin of +19 for Kentucky. Most of that advantage was the Big O, but even so, they played much more physical that KSTATE and should have had many more fouls called, but fouls were 17-17.

Both teams couldn’t shoot well.
As for the tall guy shooting the deep 3…. That is KStates sniper. He had just been quite the past few games.

Reeves didn't not only shoot bad.. he could barely dribble. He missed the rim on a wide open lay up. And Collins and Ware Frederick cannot come off the bench next year. They have to go.. we need a better bench or that recruiting class will be wasted. A bunch of 4 and 5 stars who can't score 4 points on a semi regular basis.

Cal putting on another amazing coaching clinic in the NCAA tournament! His single title at UK looking more and more like a fluke every single year! 😂

I think we need to remember that these are 18-22 year olds. As bad as I want to win, they are still just kids. Love this team and wish all of them nothing but the best. Til next year. 💙🏀😢

When Coach Cal refers to Nowell as "the little kid" instead of his name, which he probably doesn't even know, it kinda tells ya that he and the rest of the coaching staff had no idea how good Nowell is and how he facilitates the game. Respect your opponent. Or at least know who they are!!!

If Pitino was given this hideous contract, Kentucky would be tied with UCLA in most NCAA Championships. Regardless of what you think of Pitino personally. Kentucky fans are settling for mediocrity. That is how bad Kentucky basketball has become. Tubby was run off for less. Barnhart, get off you fanny do something or resign. You are responsible for this decline.

Almost every turnover was from a soft pass. No excuse for that

My heart hurts for Oscar Tshiebwe. He deserved so much more.

Calipari, staff, and players that knelt before our FLAG and NATIONAL ANTHEM deserved TO LOSE regardless of the disgraceful & pathetic reason(s) given. Their INEXCUSABLE actions & appalling behavior disrespected all that have served our country & especially our Fallen.
