The controversy with the squat would be a similar complaint about a log lift using a split jerk. Theres purists who feel split jerk should be removed but strongman is (unless rules stated) here is the weight, lift it", simple.

Brian put out the prize for 1st to 16th... The podium got WAY MORE MONEY then I thought and I'm proud to know my seats helped with that! I'm hopefully going to AT LEAST double the seats for 2025 with friends that are amazed by the videos I showed them! The crowd for SMoE is ELECTRIC!!! 💪👍🤘

I’m all for a pro strongman league with either Brian as commissioner or a board with Brian, Loz, Terry, Jerry and Big Z. Standardize all the rules and there’s no confusion or controversy.

I enjoyed it plus lovely stream.
Negatives were T Rex and the deadlift.
Open hands weird rule, just drop the straps completely then.
Squat machine not great, I think just bring in the wsm globe squat.
Terry was late on the down call for Thor after watching it from 3 angles.
But I wasn't there. Unfortunately, so was possible movement.
But was a great show & well done Moose, Thor & especially Lucas 🎉

Best competition of the year. I'd really like to see machine lifts out of strongman though. Just use an axle squat like WSM. Also I find natural stones far more exciting to watch. No issues regarding tacky. Nothing more strongman than natural stones.

Freebar squat would be best. There was some event with JF Caron where they did freeebar and it was incredible. All that should matter is depth. I don’t know why foot placement or eccentric control matters.

It's not just the prize money that has increased, the fact that most major comps pay airfare, hotels and food. I couldn't afford the food alone on my best day. Making a grand for 2 days of comp is good money with no other expensives at the comp.

In the roundtable discussion about the squat it was all about this machine that would without a shadow of a doubt prove who te best squatter was. After watching the event I have my doubts
