Lukasz, I recognize the demo photo at 1:20, I think you took that at the start of our workshop the other day! Thanks again for the amazing workshop, it was so great to learn from you and work together for a few hours. I'll be sure and tag you when I post some of my Tokyo pictures. :)

I really liked your comment about just shooting with gear that makes it fun! I know us photographers get really hung up on needing to use the BEST tool for the task, but some people seem to forget that at the end of the day most of us got into photography for the fun of it! When I first got into photography as a 10/11yr old, all I had was my Mom's cheap plastic point and shoot camera and I had a BLAST! Ever since then I find myself trying to recapture that feeling. Like most, I've definitely caught some Gear Acquisition Syndrome (GAS) where I buy gear I'll never actually use because I think that will make photography as fun as it was years ago. But on the flip side, the last couple years I've decided to slim down my gear to only two cameras and I've really enjoyed it more than when I had a ton of cameras and gear! Keep up the great videos Lukasz! 📸🙂

Dobra robota jak zawsze. Zdjęcie tej taksówki 20:36 wygrało ten odcinek dosłownie jak kadr wyjęty z jakiegoś filmu.

More video clips Lukas! Love it man 🤙🏼keep it up. Always makes me itch to get out with my a7r even more

I’m lucky my job allows me to take my camera with me on the road every night. Never know what shot is waiting to be taken!

Hello Lukasz,
great episode as always. It would be awesome if Axel could use a second anamorphic lens to film this episode...
The biggest issue for me would be the distortion, but I'm obsessed with straight lines. 😄It distracts me even when I watch (Hollywood) movies and tells me subconscious something about quality of the production.

P.s. You are probably aware of the new (Viltrox 28mm f4.5 and Samyang "Remaster Slim") pancake lenses? I thought it could be a good topic for one of your future videos. Both lenses seem to create huge interest at the moment. The Viltrox has (unfortunately) fixed aperture, but I think they have a Nikon version.
The Samyang is for Sony only, but maybe you could rent or borrow a A7. I think such videos could attract big viewership at the moment (especially as both lenses are not available everywhere, yet).

Have a great weekend! 👍

Saw this yesterday on Patreon and loved it! Decided to save my comment until it went live here. Would definitely be interested in trying one of these lenses after seeing how it looked here. Also, I appreciated the little notes that popped up with information on movies! The effort paid off for sure.

Great video, what are the specs on the Freewell Mist filter you are using?

If it's not already; a nice feature on cameras would be an un-squeezed/stretched preview mode for anamorphic lenses so that you can see the image as it'll be while you're shooting. Have a quick toggle high up in the UI/UX that allows a "Stretch By.."/"Squeeze By.." with the respective multipliers.

My Sirui saturn 35mm anamorphic (the lighter version) has become my main lens for photography so I'm happy to see other photographers dabbling with anamorphic shooting :)

Enjoyable and instructive vid, Lukaz. Appreciate the PS demo of “unsquish” (new technical term😊). Can the correction be done in Lightroom? Other YT posts about this kind of lens tend to skip over editing stuff. When checking live view is the image compressed?
Good subname for the vid, IMO, “Forced Creativity”😊. BTW, I understand there’s at least one anamorphic add on lens available for the iPhone. Cheers!

at this point, even cheap TV production crime shows use anamorphic lenses, it's so funny every time i see it

Just to be sure, the compression look will be same if you use a 24mm and crop top and bottom compare to this 35mm anamorphic lens right if you stand on the same position?
