My husband lived in Jamaica for two years, and we’ve visited a few times.
We have Jamaican friends who immigrated to the U.S. a few years ago. The youngest child was only 3 or so when they moved.from the look on her face when her parents speak to her, I think I understand more than her at this point! 😂

My best friend lost touch several yrs ago but we hung out about 2 yrs and I absolutely loved to hear her and her brother speak Patwa...it got so good cuz I actually understood everything when they spoke!

My nephew who's American grew up in Jamaican home...understand every word of Jamaican patois...he just don't talk it lol 😂
