When There Is A Height Difference Between The Truck Pulling The Container And The Ground, The Following Methods Can Be Considered When Building A Transition Platform :

I. Select An Appropriate Type Of Transition Platform

1. Portable Ramp

- A sturdy metal portable ramp can be selected. Its length and slope should be determined according to the height difference between the truck and the ground to ensure that the forklift can safely go up and down !

- The surface of the ramp should have anti-slip patterns to increase friction and prevent the forklift from slipping during driving !

- Check the load-bearing capacity of the ramp to ensure that it can withstand the total weight of the forklift and the goods !

2. Loading And Unloading Platform

- The loading and unloading platform is usually driven by a hydraulic system and can adjust the height to adapt to different height differences !

- Ensure the stability and safety of the loading and unloading platform. Its structure should be firm and able to withstand the frequent entry and exit of forklifts and the weight of goods !

- When operating the loading and unloading platform, follow the correct steps to avoid accidents due to improper operation !

II. Install The Transition Platform

1. For Portable Ramps

- Place one end of the ramp against the bottom plate of the truck to ensure a tight connection and prevent it from moving during forklift driving !

- Place the other end on the ground. Ensure that the ground is solid and flat and will not sink. Pads or non-slip mats can be placed at the bottom of the ramp to increase stability !

- Check whether the angle of the ramp is appropriate. Generally speaking, the angle of the ramp should not be too large to prevent the forklift from overturning when going up and down !

2. For Loading And Unloading Platforms

- Move the loading and unloading platform next to the truck and adjust its height to be flush with the truck's bottom plate !

- Use locking devices to fix the loading and unloading platform on the truck to ensure a firm connection !

- Check the levelness and stability of the loading and unloading platform to ensure that the forklift runs smoothly on the platform !

III. Safety Precautions

1. Before using the transition platform, conduct a comprehensive inspection to ensure that there is no damage or defect !

2. When the forklift goes up and down the transition platform, drive slowly and maintain a constant speed. Avoid sudden braking or sharp turns !

3. Arrange a dedicated person to direct the forklift driver to ensure safe operation. The director should maintain good communication with the forklift driver and issue correct instructions in time !

4. Set up warning signs around the transition platform to remind other people to pay attention to safety and prevent unrelated people from approaching !
