If we never got involved in the first place we wouldn't have to worry about losing face. What is even the point? Nobody stopped Russia when they took over Georgia and Crimea, why stop them now? But trying to beg Nancy Pelosi not to visit Taiwan even after it already became public knowledge that she wanted to, because it might offend that mean ol’ scary Xitler, isn’t really bringing me much confidence.

Really, I dislike her a lot of the time but Pelosi is the only high ranking Democrat in this administration who’s shown any guts when it comes to foreign policy or even remotely standing up to the adversaries while everyone else tiptoes around eggshells.

As for Putin/Russia, if we’re gonna play the sanctions game, why have we been barely acknowledging the Uyghur genocide? Why has there been talks of possibly lifting sanctions on Iran (albeit, this may not happen now because it took a woman dying for us to acknowledge how brutal these people are)? Virtue signaling and groveling gets us nowhere internationally
