Lucky I live in New York City and the test is totally free!! And I had took the TASC test cause in NYC we don't have the GED anymore and the good news is I had passed the Was very difficult but still I did it...and now I'm all set to go to college wish me luck everyone!! 🙂🙂🙂

i just found this channel because i've been thinking about getting my hiset. neither of my parents graduated from high school and i feel like there was always this pressure on me to be "better" than them (even though my dad is the smartest person i know and ended up getting a degree in computer science without a diploma, talk abt a king.) nobody in my family seems to realise that a diploma really isn't that important, there are soooo many options. your outro made me smile too <3

Just passed My GED last week. Yes I paid money to take my test. And yes I passed first time without studying. I took my test at my local community college.

Very good video. I unfortunately am one of the people who didn’t get to finish HS; but what’s hilarious is I went to technical college and had a 4.0; then I went to massage school and aced my boards (not easy). However I am terrified of this test, lol. I even took something called the ABLE test and scored HS senior math, junior college level history, science, English and college senior writing. I trying to unblock my mind. It’s sad I am going to be 50 in three months and I can’t turn 50 like this. I’ve been terrified for no reason I am sure; it’s just that my math skills are not great. Keep up the videos kiddo, there’s some of us out here who need this info. 💕

Thank you for the information. I just passed TASC is really hard but if you read the test book every day for one hour I believe you can easily pass the test. I am a mom and I spend two years to prepare and take the test.

for those who dont know, you can take GED or hiset classes for free, just find out online where the classes are held. in my area they are held at our vocational school. and also, you can ask for a voucher that will cover most of the costs of the tests. like for hiset, the cost per tests are about $80 but with the voucher it goes down to $2 per test. classes in my area are twice a week and three hours long per class. most of what you do is going to be self taught, by computer. the online lessons allow you to go at your own pace. you can get this done as quickly or as long as it takes you. no need to feel overwhelmed.

In Iowa, we take the Hiset. It sounds a lot easier to pass score wise over the GED.

The tasc has been discontinued as an option to gain the HSEC. This happened December 31, 2021.
