Pupils from Samburu Girls foundation, who did their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exams, performed exceptionally well.
The centre acts as a shelter for girls who have been rescued from harmful cultural practices. Despite coming from difficult back grounds, two girls managed to score 373 and 371 marks respectively.

Thumbs up to @Dr. Kulea for your edifying actions. Many disadvantaged girls under your care will surely receive such rare and valuable opportunities in life. God bless.

Completely disagree. Education should not deculture indigenous peoples. There is a reason why you are unique in this world and that is why people come to visit and see your way of life. These natives have been a tourist attraction to Kenya for years. Western mindset should not impose radical changes that destroys cultural norms using imported ideology. There are better ways to help these people without undermining their cultural practices. The girls do not dress their cultural ways and that is what we call education? They are losing their identity. The government can help revise some changes e.g child marriages, violence through setting up community leaders both women and men within that community without influence from Western countries.
