There are many possible cause for this problem but the 75% are because there no fuel pressure in the system.

It is very important to keep good injectors in DD engines. If you hear anything out of the ordinary on your engine it would be a good idea to get it checked out. More than once I have seen these engines run away from fuel pooling in the exhaust manifold and EGR cooler. 2014 DD15 towed into the shop I work at today. Had injector tips blown / melted off cylinders 2, 3, & 5. DDDL shows a run away to 3822 rpm. Blew down cylinders and found all cylinders held pressure. Cleaned fuel out of EGR cooler. Installed an injector 6 pack. Checked valve lash that could indicate cam issues caused by engine over speed. Changed fuel filters. Fired the engine up. Immediately heard a rod knock. Pulled oil filter to find enough glitter on the filter to make a troll jealous. I now get to do a $20k in-frame. Engine has 1.2 million miles on the clock and was all original until today so it was time anyway.

I have a 2014 Freightliner Cascadia crank but doesn’t start in the morning I have to prime it to start truck once truck starts it’s good for the day once I park truck for the day the gas drains back to gas tank need your help

Hi my dd15 with 3 fuel filter housings no water separator. only starting with spraying starter fluid even I just turned it off it started happening when I replaced fuel filters. When starts runs and idles good. Thanks

No start after running out of fuel. Bled the system already. Should I replace fuel pump? Or check injectors?

hello, i have a 2009 freightliner Cascadia dump truck DD15 customer complaint was about transmission that got hot and would not shift correctly into gear. Truck would cool down & work ok until hot again. So I got the truck to my shop & the unit was surging pretty bad ( fuel problem ) noted. replaced the fuel quantity valve and the truck is not surging anymore but now i took it on test drive and will not start on 1st gear and there is a pause between gear selection. floored the accelerator and it pauses for about 3- 7 seconds then it start shifting correctly. and after taking foot off the accelerator coasting and watching gears shift screen and then proceed to accelerate pedal back down to the floor it pauses on me again.
would you say this be a fuel problem? please help .

I just had that problem with 2012 cascadia dd15 and had to tow my truck to the shop and waiting to hear back from mechanic if you know the probnlem let me know so I can let the mechanic know.. Thx

Este problemas lo tento en mi camion..csmbie la pompa de disel y Los inyectores y tambien donde se coloca Los filtros..todo nuevo y aun el camion no ensiende. Tengo que pompiar manualmente el disel para que ensienda...hay algun mecanico que me rrecomienden?

Thanks for the video. I've got 2001 Freightliner MT45 and it cranks but wont start. The mechanic replaced its starter and it didn't help. Now, he says it might be the flywheel but I don't trust him anymore. Any idea?

Hey my freightliner won’t start when it sits over night but when I spray starting fluid it starts. But everything is okay no check engine light n dealer says everything is okay what do u think I should check or what could be wrong?

How do you check for bad injector by taking out the feeder tube what are you looking for
