I saw my first Brown Thrasher just a few weeks ago in my back yard. At first I mistook it for a young Robin with its speckled chest, but soon realized it was much large than a Robin, and of course different color. I learned that they are ground nesting birds, and it must have had a nest nearby as I saw it many times after that, slipping into the low brush under a row of Choke Cherries at the back of my yard. I still see it here in early November.

I just found this video. I rescued a Brown Thrasher fledgling in my backyard on April 19th. I kept her in a makeshift nest on my porch, fed her, taught her to hunt, and she started flying within days. She was extremely attached to me, trying to get inside the house at every chance. 2 nights ago, she left at dark and I found her in the morning. She ate a lot, then left again. I haven't seen or heard her in 30 hours. I really want to know if this is what is supposed to happen. Thanks so much 🐦💜

Been looking forward to seeing the elusive Brown Thrasher fledglings and safe to say they are thriving and judging by your film, it's time to get out of the house and get to work ; ) Thanks for sharing them! Best regards, Cathy

Hi Mrs Jo. I love all your videos the are great and very entertaining with your commentary . This video reminds me of a few summers ago when I raised to mockingbird broods all at once! I would love for you to see it but how could I send my YouTube video to your channel. I've tried but can't fig it out. Lol thanks!
