Your videos remind me that technology hasnt changed so much as we imagine. A lot of the internet uses protocols that have been around for decades

One other thing: certain services don't *have* to run on certain ports. It's just that things break if they are configured differently for computers that are communicating. You could change the SSH port for your server to 2222 and if you also configure your SSH client to connect on that port, it will work fine.
