Tall, slender trees can make a statement in the landscape and fit where other trees would be too wide. UT Gardens - Jackson Horticulturist Jason Reeves shows several varieties growing at the gardens and talks about each one. He shows an oak, sweet gum, tulip poplar, zelkova, and elm. Each tree has a slightly different shape and growth habit. Jason explains that these trees are growing naturally, without irrigation or fertilizer.

Really needed to see this as I recently planted 2 Mushashino and 1 Slender Silhouette. This video really shows what to expect. Thank you!

Could you also mention the zones these trees can grow in?

I planted a Golden Pillar birch, and it is supposed to remain slender, but some of the outer branches are trying to jut out and I would love if you guys could give some advice on pruning to keep them in shape. Thanks for this video.
