Full recordings:

Bach’s keyboard works known as the English Suites offer a series of dance movements which, despite their name, owe more to earlier French and German models. This recording features the arrangements for two guitars by the distinguished Montenegrin Guitar Duo. Transcriptions of Bach for solo guitar have been popular since the nineteenth century and the emergence of the guitar duo extends still further the potential for exciting and revelatory performances.

The Montenegrin Guitar Duo consists of two eminent classical guitarists from Montenegro – Goran Krivokapić and Danijel Cerović. The duo is frequently invited to prestigious international venues around the world, such as Saint Petersburg Philharmonia Hall in Russia, Manuel de Falla Hall in Madrid and Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Presenters including Koblenz Guitar Festival, Festival Internacional de Musica y Danza de Granada, KotorArt Festival, A Tempo Music Festival, Qinling Mountains International Guitar Festival, Shenyang International Guitar Festival and Daejeon International Guitar Festival regularly engage the Montenegrin Guitar Duo to give recitals, deliver lectures and master classes, and adjudicate important competitions.

“Danijel Cerović and Goran Krivokapić have brilliantly taken the challenge of this ambitious project with quality arrangements, in which the guitars are harmoniously conversing. The original aspect of the keyboard pieces remains when listening, while honoring a way of playing specific to the guitar. The performance is flawless and accurate… This CD is then a must-have, and next volume is eagerly awaited.” – Guitare Classique

What a virtuosic interpretation! I wrote a "Fugato in the style of Bach" which can be listened to on my channel: if the Montenegrin Duo wishes to perform it, I can provide the score.

The one-orchestral imitation of this movement on a harpsichord, there is that certain part when the harpsichord itself is not playing the imaginary orchestra. This must be played on the upper manual on a 2-manual harpsichord, in this case it is appropriate to imitate the upper manual around the 12th fret
