Starring Tom Hanks and directed by Clint Eastwood, SULLY is in theaters September 9th.
---

From Oscar-winning director Clint Eastwood (“American Sniper,” “Million Dollar Baby”) comes Warner Bros. Pictures’ drama “Sully,” starring Oscar winner Tom Hanks (“Bridge of Spies,” “Forrest Gump”) as Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger.

On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the “Miracle on the Hudson” when Captain “Sully” Sullenberger glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career.

“Sully” also stars Aaron Eckhart (“Olympus Has Fallen,” “The Dark Knight”) as Sully’s co-pilot, Jeff Skiles, and Oscar nominee Laura Linney (“The Savages,” “Kinsey,” Showtime’s “The Big C”) as Sully’s wife, Lorraine Sullenberger.

Eastwood is directing the film from a screenplay by Todd Komarnicki, based on the book Highest Duty by Sullenberger and Jeffrey Zaslow. The project is being produced by Eastwood, Frank Marshall, Allyn Stewart and Tim Moore, with Kipp Nelson and Bruce Berman serving as executive producers.

The film reunites Eastwood with several of his longtime collaborators, who most recently worked with the director on the worldwide hit “American Sniper”: director of photography Tom Stern and production designer James J. Murakami, who were both Oscar-nominated for their work on “The Changeling”; costume designer Deborah Hopper; and editor Blu Murray.

Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, a Flashlight Films production, a Kennedy/Marshall Company production, a Malpaso production, “Sully.” The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the copilot!

I'm glad Tom Hanks is still acting. He's incredibly rich, so at this point he must just be doing it out of love.

This are the kind of movies I really enjoy watching... Good actors, pretty good director and and if that wasn't enough the movie is based in a true story... I just Can't wait to watch this master piece😳😳

Can't believe it.

The one and only Clint Eastwood teams up with the one and only Tom Hanks, making a film based on a true story about how a plane captain miraculously landed his plane with two failed jet engines on the Hudson river, and not a single soul out of the 155 passengers lost.

And the comments section is loaded with idiots talking about a character in a video game.

Can't fuckin' believe it.

That's like if the trailer for a movie based on the 9/11 attacks came out and everyone just commented about how it was a conspira- oh wait. ಠ_ಠ

Amazing movie! As an aviation buff I knew I was gonna love the movie, but I didn't think to this extent. Just awesome. Actually shed a few tears at the end which I didn't expect to happen. Everyone should see this film.

I've never enjoyed a movie about people remaining calm under pressure so much. Sully is beautifully done.

When you watch the movie, look for the scene of Tom Hanks jogging in Times Square and passing a large sign with Clint Eastwood's face on it. It's kind of like Alfred Hitchcock appearing in his own picture.

The pilot is a legend. He landed the plane in the Hudson, everyone was alive. Had he decided to land on any other airport, he would have crashed on the runway or on buildings; the NTSB is an idiotic bunch to say that he took a wrong decision. A good pilot deserves respect; it's very easy to sit and boast, but not that easy to fly a giant metal tube at 900 kmph, where anything can go wrong at any second, given the sophistication level of the hydraulics, computers and what not. Kudos to all military and commercial pilots, and to the engineers and technicians who build aeroplanes.
