Idk if i commented already, but thanks for this guide. I lowered my brightness, mostly because it was too damn bright. Was hurting my eyes on white screens.

It definitely helped reduce the glow.

Just got an Acer Nitro 22 in noticed the glow right away -solved!
First you have to counterbalance a couple things Brightness setting to 0 contrast setting to 81( if you up contrast without dropping to these color settings light greys will be lost!)Black boost to 9Red Green and blue gain 27 24 24 Color saturations 55 r 50 g 55 bGamma 2.2 during night 1.8 during day with window / room glare Super sharpness on ! Overdrive two off Freesync on game settings brightness down a notch

I'd disagree. I almost always play in a pitch black room and a VA panel had an obvious annoying glow to it, while a TN panel does not and is perfect without any ambient light.
