Let Amazon do their pricing.. or else stop looting middle class in the name of taxes!
If I am going to save 50rs by shopping on Amazon, I am going to do it.. instead of using merely available public transport or using my own vehicle which I already paid 30% tax and spend on Fuel which is also taxed at almost 50%..

No local vendors are supported in the process the minister is saying, its just that they are loosing on tax money. I regret voting for BJP this term.

I am a working lady who single handedly handles home and office. I know how much e-commerce helps me to make my daily life easy.
I spent 10 - 12 hrs infront of system but i could order my mother's medicines which they deliver at doorstep, i could order milk, veggies, groceries which got delivered within 15 mins so i can plan my breakfast and lunch before logging into system for work for which i would have to spend 3 - 4 hrs in traffic, i could order other essentials by quickly comparing many sites for quality and price while doing other house chore. Now when mother says we are running out of this and that every moment i don't bother anymore, I just keep it in my cart immediately so i wont forget. I can book a cab, i can order food..so in nutshell it helps me being more productive and saves a lot of time. Even i don't remember when last time i stood in a queue infront of ATM to withdraw money.

A vertical economy is not only socially unhealthy but also dangerous for social stability. We need to focus on lateral expansion.

I would rather buy iPhone for 53k, rather than shelling 70k in retails pricey stores.70k means extra GST for govt on the price difference.

Amazon did what Indian government failed to do since 1950 organize the Indian market.

Open up giant departmental stores and hypermarket chains with superior quality products and then sell them online/ offline who is stopping you.

But sticking to 1850's era retail store model is technically no longer feasible.

i didn't see him commenting when reliance jio was doing this. Besides go where in such heavy traffic, first ask them to build infrastructure so it doesn't take hours to travel kms.

The thing is as a middle class person, I will purchase where ever its cheap because its the govt thats making me do this because they levy so many taxes that I dont save much to pay costly indian traders. To me as a honest tax payer, I will go where ever its cheap and gives me the value for money.
