She said it will take several sessions but my dog did it in seconds. I bowed in front of her and she bowed back to me, I rewarded her with a treat right away and she kept doing it over and over. I guess some dogs are just born to do tricks. She also did the roll over which I thought was impossible and not only did she do it within minutes, she did multiple rollovers. I love my baby girl to bits!!!

Out of everything I saw I am most impressed by the way you said "Like Button" and the like button would shine RAINBOW on my screen lol

Me: looks at my dog
My dog: don't even think about it

I was trying to teach my dog to roll over but he couldn't do it. I didn't want to push him to do it cause i know that training is mostly about connecting and communicating with your dog. So i decided to try and teach him something else. I saw this video and when i started teaching him to bow he got it immediately. My point is try to make training a happy thing for your dog and if he/she doesn't get to do everything it's okay. There's still many other tricks that you can try

I followed your technique for the “play dead” and I had my 3 month old mini Aussie playing dead by a week and a half. Due to crazy life stuff I haven’t been able to play dead with her for a week and she still remembers. Your tutorials are amazing. Thank you for sharing!

The toss away and the step by step instruction for what the trainer should do is SO helpful. Thanks

I am super excited to get started with this trick :D. I am in the SCA and have always wanted to train a dog to bow to our King and Queen :D

I have a 9 month old kelpie pup, Daisy and shes super smart. I had her in the bow position in our first session, after i had 2 mini meltdowns. Can’t wait to keep going and getting her to do it properly. Thank you so much for making this video. I will definitely keep watching your videos.

Such a good video! I did your “bang” video with my year old dog and he got it within 5 min! Going to do the “bow” tomorrow when I get more treats. Keep up the awesome work with your pups!

Took less than 5 min and I had her bowing on command.
Best part is I reward with play immediately after training sessions. I incorporated a bow before throwing her toy for her and it reinforced the new skill.
I’ll be working on a consistent cue and getting her to do it at my side as we continue to practice, but I did it in a short session and kept it fun.
I’ve never taught her this trick before, but I do narrate things when she’s doing them for her buttons, so that probably helped move THIS activity along more quickly.
Thank you for a great tutorial.

Thank you for the tip about throwing the food so they don't want to waste the energy laying down!! An invaluable tip

Thanks so much for this. I have long wanted to teach my girl to stretch before she takes off to play hard. She picked up on this in one short session. A few more and I think she'll do it for me on command. Really happy to have the heads-up regarding the lying down pitfall, too. You're such a great teacher!

Great video Laura! The tip about throwing the cookie forward - perfect! I’ll have to give that a try. I always get laying down 🤔. Whip is freaking adorable!

This was brilliant! I never managed to teach my dog bow with the method I was shown and gave up trying but this method makes so much more sense. Thank you!,

Loved this, I like you not only show what you want your dog to do but also what the trainer needs to do with their body. This is so much easier than what I was trying to do.

I am going to follow you. Was looking for a tricks to teach my dog while stuck inside and chose you to watch out of all the videos that cropped up. Am I glad I did. You are easy to follow, give great explanations as to why to do what or what not to do while training, and also give us real talk such as "this isn't going to happen in one day" - that is important to hear because novice dog owners might not know that and get frustrated. Can't wait to see the rest of the videos, going to pace myself because if I watch too many tricks I won't know which one to do first!! lol..
