Wow. I have done these incorrectly for fifty years or more. I have bunions, and I'm trying to correct them myself. Someone suggested bridge pose, and I couldn't figure out how it had any effect.

Now I do! Thanks ever so much.

You should be guarded at all costs. Thank you for your breakdowns of body movements. I still am young lol 38 but I’ve been struggling for 18 years since an accident. I’m in shape for what people can see but I have all these imbalances I’m finally addressing because of how you present the information.

I think this was the missing piece for me, thanks! You might consider redoing the first shot with a tighter shirt though, I think some people might miss the arching back for context.

This is exactly how I teach it. Clients feel their glutes for the first time in this exercise with these cues. 💯

I think the reason people do it wrong is that when they do it in class or for a trainer that person is often critical of the amount of upward motion we get. They keep exhorting you to lift your butt higher so you just try to do it to stop the shaming. Too many trainers think they can shame you into getting stronger.

I thought I was terrible at these bc I couldnt go half as high as other people do! Looks like I've been doing them right all along (but I also have quad/flexor tightness, so that also makes it hard to get up higher). Glad I wasn't sacrificing form.

Oops, guilty! My PT just told me to add this exercise, even sent an online sheet on it and NONE of this was in it. I have a 2x spinal fusion, just told I need a 3rd one. You'd think I could use this breakdown... THANKS, AMIGO!!!
