That man was actually an evil mass murderer. The one who pushed him into the river was the croissant, but the croissant fell in as well, sacrificing itself to save LEGO City. The Rescue Team rescued the croissant, and thus LEGO City and its inhabitants lived happily ever after. The croissant is known as a national hero to this day.
