Clearly, Tosh aimed 'traitor' to suffer from his voodoo magics. Cause he thought Raynor betrayed him. But the truth is, Tychus was the real traitor in hyperion.

For everyone trying to decide between tosh and nova, siding with nova will have tosh killed, get you a couple of ghosts, and then you'll never see nova again (except in this cutscene)
But if you pick Tosh, Nova doesn't get harmed, you get spectres, and later in the game, dr. hanson reveals that spectres aren't any more insane or crazy than regular ghosts.

As much as i Like tosh, this cutscene is one of my favorite, if only for the humour.

This was probably the funniest cinematic in Wings of Liberty in my opinion.

I love Tosh 😢😢 I can never choose Nova path in the campaign. Tosh is a real buddy, trust worthy and full of insights. He respects and helps Jimmy, and saves his own men, then trains spectres to be one of the most reliable units for Jimmy. No reason why he should be killed.

This scene is actually a whole lot sadder if you've read the SC Ghost Academy comics.

Nova and Tosh were actually in a relationship once (and saw themselves as soulmates). But, Ghosts aren't allowed to form attachments.

So the Dominion plugged both of them into a neural resocializer and tried to brainwash them into being perfect, emotionless tools.

It worked on Nova. It didn't work on Tosh.

So here, Tosh is being killed by his old love that can no longer remember loving him.

Well, the voodoo looks like Raynor's marine suit, but it's linked with Tychus instead, poor guy, he got tossed around like a RAG DOLL.

Nova once used a massive mindblast to wipe out a large group of zerg during an early mission; it worked, but it also heavily damaged Tosh (physically and psionically). The upside was that it scrambled Tosh' brains in a good way as well, and it him immune to resoc and allowed him to shield his thoughts, even from powerful psionics with a Psi Index of 8-10. It also turned his eyes milky-white.

Nova remained vulnerable to resoc, unfortunately.

this is funny, but I could never betray Tosh in the game. suspicious as he maybe he is one of the most helpful characters in the game
