Its a very fussy program that causes headaches to lots even myself time to time.
I did mention to the maker I feel a self contained portable version would be more user friendly.

to setup Kohya ss Run...

After setting up, Run the GUI.bat to launch Kohya, but prior add the following so it automatically opens.

the GUI.bat line is
add the
--inbrowser
to the line
so it looks like this

this will have kohya automatically launch in your web browser when you double click the GUI.bat to run Kohya.

Might be a new development. But I uninstalled python and re installed 3.10.6 like recommended, but the first message once I started the setup was, that my Python is outdated and I should use 3.10.9 :-)

As it has done several times since I took up this hobby last Oct., my Kohya installation has self destructed from one day to the next. I came across your video and just want to let you know, that I couldn't get Kohya to start with Python 3.10.6 anymore, so the dev must have updated things again. After installing 3.10.11, I was able to get the GUI, and found the interface has changed a bit.

Everything else you recommended worked for me, but I haven't actually tried a training yet. Good luck, you put out some good content!

Thanks for the video, one point of note is that I was using Python 3-10.10 a couple days ago and Kohya worked. I broke it trying to update accelerate to get faster tagging. Now I'm going step by step and seeing what fixes it.

Hi, I have a question if you don't mind. I'm new to image generation and have installed and run stable diffusion with the python version 3.10.6 so do I need to delete everything and install it again with the 3.10.11 version to run Kohya ss GUI? Because inside the Github page of Kohya ss GUI it mention to install that version. Please I would like an advice because I'm a bit confused. Thanks.
