It's a big mistake to choose x35 over x32. The latter is a true peace keeper.

Despite what the comments say, the F-35 is still wayyy more stable in vertical takeoff and landing and didn’t have to worry about ground effect flipping it over.

Allegedly, Boeing had a radical redesign planned for the X-32. In renditions based on Boeing's designs, it looks much more menacing.
