I'm a Hawthorn supporter but mine goes to Milne as a pure small forward. Betts in one pocket, Milne in the other. Cyril is more of a HFF type that moves into the middle, same with Stevie J, so one or both on the HFFs. I think Breust will be mentioned among the best when he is done...I love the guy so much.

I'm speaking purely from an AFL era perspective.

Eddie is the goat, purely for the longevity, leading a teams goal kicking as a pure small forward, the legacy he’ll leave .. has to be Eddie

400+ games, 778 goals playing in five premiership teams and winning five Jack Dyer Medals, A Norm Smith Medalist.
Didn't hear those stats with the others. Close but no cigars guys

All great players. Out of the list, I’ll go with Betts since he has kicked the most goals of the year, the amount of games he’s played and being a two club player

Peter Daicos what a legend. When I first started watching VFL/AFL it was him and Gary Ablett that mesmerized me.

Milne by a country mile. Hated him but he was clearly the best I've seen in the last 45 yrs

Got to be Cyril.

Did the same flashy amazing stuff as betts but the difference is Cyril did it more in important games and actually won games with his influence.

Betts has an amazing highlight reel but how many times do people say "yea betts won us the game, if betts wasn't there we would have lost".

Cyril literally impacted 2 grand finals enough to turn the games into hawk Victories. On top of how many other games.

Will be interested to see where Tom Papley finishes on this list in the future.

Darren Bewick was as good as most. Kicked 8 goals in his first game back from a knee injury just to underline how good he was. Didn’t miss

Easily Kevin Bartlett. His numbers and accolades monster those of Eddie Betts and Cyril Rioli

Eddie whatever you do in the future keep well away from any role at Carlton they are a board that doesn't deserve someone with your class.

Brad Johnson and Steve Johnson were major misses here.

Brad Johnson played over 350 games and kicked over 550 goals as a six time AA player, while Stevie J is one of the biggest game players that the league has seen over the last 20 years.

Leigh Matthews is the best as he is still the best of all time. Cyril is easily the most dynamic small forward we have seen by far better than anyone in the last 30 years. Eddie was close. The only reason you won a contest against him is because he made a mistake. And that is not an exaggeration.
