A Day Trip to Whitby in Northern England - Fish and Chips, Sea Shanty's and a Famous Ruined Abbey

Hi everyone. Today I’m taking you to a place I frequented many times as a boy. It’s history and local charm always made it a favourite day trip with my family. Whether it’s the local fish and chips (you choose whether it’s Trenchers or the Magpie), the narrow streets, sound of the sea and birds in the sky or those 199 steps up to see St Mary’s Church and the stunning yet eerie Whitby Abbey, it was always a treat. I’m back in Whitby, again with my parents, but not so much of a boy anymore. I hope you enjoy the views and the odd sea shanty with us.
