This video is about my build of the Revell 1/72 scale plastic scale model kit of the F4U -1A Corsair with USAF markings of the VMF-214 Squadron, US Marine Corps, Vella Lavella, Solomon Islands, December 1943.
I airbrush painted almost everything free handed to get natural looking blurred lines between the colours of the choosen scheme. My model of this famous aircraft has some serious shot damage in the right wing and a shot through in one of the propeller blades. Find out how easily this effect can be created in the video. And i placed the rigging for the friend or enemy radar, a cool gadget i just had discovered during my research for this build.

Good stuff, Chris. Interesting photo you showed for reference. I like that the uppermost, darker color is over sprayed on the national insignia.

Corsair looks great! The small details like the antenna wire adds realism to the model. I’m not impressed with your intro. A little bit over the top. Thanks for sharing. Happy days and model on! 😎
