This is random but seeing Josh put that vanilla bean in the bento reminded me of hijiki. I don't mind hijiki, i.e. I will eat it if it's in a bento, but gotta say, of all the things that are SUPER common in Japan about Japanese food that I never see in the States, hijiki would be high on the list. I hope the MK can incorporate it into a recipe one day. It won't kill you (in small amounts).
