Mitch meets with the Moroltos, presenting himself as a loyal attorney who uncovered the firm's illegal over-billing. He asks for permission to turn over their billing invoices to help the FBI prosecute the firm, but assures them that any information about their legal affairs remains safe under attorney–client privilege, implying everything will remain confidential as long as he is alive. The Moroltos reluctantly agree to guarantee Mitch's safety. Mitch hands over the evidence and is able to continue his legal career

This is such a badass scene. He totally takes out the firm by walking right in to the lion's den to deal with the Moroltos face to face. He was able to totally switch the narrative. Instead of him supposedly selling client secrets to the Feds, he's actually looking out for clients who have been cheated by the firm.

Joey was the embodiment of the good listener in this scene. The brains of the outfit no doubt.

Once again, it all hinges on greed. Had the firm not tried to get away with overcharging, he wouldn't have been able to turn the tables on them.

For those of you who don't know, the guy who plays "Tony" is Paul Sorvino, father of the Oscar winner Mira Sorvino, yes, that actress Mira Sorvino from the movie Mighty Aphrodite.

I woke up this morning thinking of this scene for some reason. I don't even remember anything else about this movie accept this scene. I saw the movie once, and never felt the desire to view it again. Goodfellas, The Godfather both had so many memorable moments that you can watch them over and over again. Even movies like Back to The Future, Christopher Reeves Superman, Val Kilmer and Kurt Russell Tombstone. Movies that have so many moments, you like rewatching them. I think I'll stop my Sopranos binge watching now and download The Firm and pay more attention to it. I didn't even remember that was the name of the movie, I just Google Tom Cruise and Paul Sorvino scene.

One of my favorite scenes in that awesome movie! I likened this to the Feds bringing down murdering crime boss Al Capone on……tax evasion charges!

If Tom wasn't so very weird he would have won an Oscar or two
