Thanks for a brilliant presentation by the very knowledgeable and talented speaker Colin Buxton. I was so enthralled that I have subscribed and plan to view more videos in future. It's another book I'm going to have to purchase I'm sure.

I read recently that the RFC reckoned, between physiological and psychological factors, a pilot was unfit for active service after nine months at the front. Yet several of the pilots you mention seem to have served almost a year, and in one case more than a year, before being rested. What astonishing endurance!
