Hey guys,
Thank you all already for taking the time to watch this choreo one more time even though it was featured in the official music video. Which I would like to take this opportunity to thank Tori, Andrew, and Tori's team for giving dance and choreography such a presence in only her second official music video which is a risky enough thing to do even if you are top 40 established artist. This just goes on to inspire me as an artist as it should all of you that TRUE ART IS NOT DEAD. There are people out there who respect us as dancers and our craft you just have to find them-so on behalf of dancers everywhere thank you again Andrew, Tori's team and especially Tori for believing in not only me but our craft as dancers to hold up for the majority of her video.

Down to the reason why I did this video— When I first choreographed this piece, I was going through exactly what this song expresses so it was very easy for me to choreograph but I actually wrote and created the story line you see in this video before I even choreographed one move...I had absolutely no idea at the time that Tori would ever be interested in using my choreography for more than anything besides maybe retweeting my video whenever I dropped it...so it was pretty awesome that I got the opportunity I did but as an artist I also felt that I still needed to get out exactly what I saw in my head when I choreographed this piece in order to feel complete-I absolutely adore the story Tori and Andrew created for the video but as you can imagine I choreographed the story from MY point of view, the man, being the heartbroken...missing something. I almost ended up not doing this video but in the end I thought it would be cool to show the world how one piece of artwork like this song, can inspire creation on so many levels by many different people- so I guess this is kind of an "alternate reality" of Tori's true masterpiece "Paper Hearts"...the man's perspective...a sappy man's perspective haha...hey I can't help it! Love you all, thank you so much-something very different coming up for my next dance video so don't worry if this is too soft for some of you guys haha.

Love.

and thank you to Carlena for rollin through last minute (we are actually talking smack to each other in every scene hahah funny what music can do)!

I told myself not to look at his face. I did. And then I wanted to cry at how emotional his expressions were. That's why I love how Ian dances; he puts his emotions into his dancing and it makes it so real and relatable.

There is so much passion, heart and emotion in this dance. I love how Ian tells a story purely through his dance moves and facial expression. You can feel all those emotions, it is just beautiful. Ian is not just a dancer, he is a truly passionate artist, who loves what he does.

I love seeing the emotion on his face, you can tell he's putting his all into the dance. So good!

What I also love about Ian is how he sometimes dances out the lyrics to the song. I.e: "...grey under these skies, wet mascara" he licks his thumb and goes to wipe off the mascara. Something so small but it makes the dance that much more incredible.

I have honestly never felt heartbreak until I watched this video. I literally felt it through his dancing and the music

This was honestly the most heart felt dance video I have ever seen, coincidentally to my favorite song.

I kid you not, half the views on this video are from me. And every single time, I cry. Ian, you are truly an inspiration. The way you are able to convey emotions so well through dance is amazing. Never stop doing what you're doing.

First off, shout out to the beautiful Carlena Britch! What a surprise to see her in this video!

Second, I thought the Paper Hearts choreo could not get anymore beautiful but the little parts that didn't make it in the music video that we did get to see here really transformed the piece into something completely different (for me at least). Something even better.

Love you, Ian, and thank you for sharing a little part of your life with us.

The precision of Ian's movements is unreal. One of the best dancers of all time, in my opinion.

thank you ian for inspiring me with every video, i might not be a dancer but this still really inspires me.
I already saw tori's video, but this video is just as amazing! you really have so much talent and i love how you explain the words by a movement, thats what i love the most about dancing. Explaining words and feelings through a movement.
Once again, Thank you. You inspire me and i learn from you (and your descriptions ;p)
much love, Robin
