I pretend the franchise ended at World's End. It felt right. The final battle in that movie is so great and the character arcs wrap up nicely. The movies needed all three main characters of :Jack, Will, and Elizabeth to feel complete.

Gore Verbinski’s direction really made the first three pirates movies work so well. His visual style and dark but still goofy tone really worked. That’s what’s been missing from the fourth and fifth movies.

I have to admit I watched The first 2 Sequels purely because of Davy Jones. He was such a cool villain.

Pirates of the Carribean:Dead Man’s chest is one of the best, coolest and iconic movie sequels of Pirates of the Caribbean ever when we meet the villain pirate Davy Jones in the movie sequel

there's so many great lines from the first 3 like "cruel is just a matter of perspective" "life is cruel why should the after life be any different? " " you have a chance to do the right, you'll discover something, that you're a good man" and also the dynamic between jack, elizabeth, barbossa, will and davy jones was great. Truly underrated films (my fave series tho)
