I Finally Watched IDFB

I finally react to Battle for Dream Island "IDFB" aka BFDI Season 3. After finishing the original Battle for Dream Island, and watching most of BFDIA (up until BFDIA 5e as of this video's recording), we now take on the only episode of IDFB "IDFB 1: Welcome Back". IDFB takes place 3 years after the events of BFDIA, and the objects now decide to vote on who should be freed from the TLC! Currently IDFB only has 1 episode, and no one knows when IDFB episode 2 will release...

Hi, Jacknjellify crew member and self proclaimed BFDI historian here! Ive been really enjoying your reactions to this show up to this point. I grew up watching BFDI and was there when this episode first came out, but i can understand it being confusing to follow along with if youre a newcomer. allow me to sort of set the record straight with the canonical timeline:

BFDI (Season 1) - Ran from 2010 to 2012
BFDIA (Season 2) - Went on hiatus in 2013, revived in the form of a prequel season in 2023
IDFB (Season 3) - Came and went in 2016, will *POTENTIALLY* be coming back once BFDIA is finished (edit: when I originally said this I did not mean for anyone to take this as confirmation! Nobody on the team knows if IDFB will actually come back and we're so far from BFDIA being over that it's impossible to know, don't take my status as a crew member as proof that it is!! I'm just speculating because that sounds like it would make the most sense, but I'm just an animator!!)
BFB (Season 4) - Ran from 2017 to 2021
BFDI:TPOT (Season 5) - Began in 2021 and is currently ongoing!

In terms of where to go from here, either starting BFB or continuing BFDIA is the best option! BFB is a full 30 episode long season, so it won't be very difficult to follow along with. Like i said before modern BFDIA is sort of treated as a prequel season, meant to fill in the gaps between where episode 5e ended and where modern seasons are now. Whatever way you watch BFDIA doesnt matter too much, but its important to get through BFB before starting TPOT!

IDFB was like an announcement that saying that "After a big hiatus, we are alive and we are gonna do new BFDI episodes!", but after that they went on another hiatus.
Also I'll better recommend you to watch BFDIA 6-10 BECAUSE these episodes are important to other new BFB and TPOT episodes too.

Ah don't worry about the BFDIA 6 vote spoilers, most of us who were here before the revival got the spoiler. The real BFDIA 6 does still play the elimination straight with suspense but it's fine BFDIA 6 is peak regardless. Also no the TLC members don't spoil BFDIA, hard to explain why though.

To be fair with BFDIA's "cancellation" and IDFB never getting a second episode, Jacknjellify from 2010-2016 was literally just two brothers doing everything. It isn't until BFB 1 that they begin hiring more and even then for a lot of the early BFB episodes it's only some new voice actors, two new writers, and a handful of animators. It isn't until like 2020 that they begin hiring a real team.

A lot of the characters in the Tiny Loser Chamber are the recommended characters from season 1 (BFDI 17/18 The Reveal/Reveal Novum) and from season 2 (BFDIA 1 Yeah Who I Wanna Know) who failed to debut as contestants in the show

Actually all the other characters in the TLC/LOL are the ones that didnt make it into BFDIA (back in episode 1). They only got redesigned in IDFB.

when you said that match was in the TLC and it spoiled the rest of BFDIA, if you forgot, match was eliminated in BFDIA 5a. Although pencil used the elimination prevention plan to keep match unofficially in the game. At the end of BFDIA 5e, she is flung to the TLC
