Similarly, the monk's Diamond Soul ability that gives proficiency in "all saving throws" applies to death saves!

on another note, glibness makes all charisma checks an automatic 15 + charisma for bards and warlocks. Making bards and warlocks the best counterspellers and dispellers in the game

You can also cast Guidance to provide a bonus to initiative. Only averages at 2.5, but better than nothing!

You can also add it to the check you make when counterspelling or dispelling magic of a higher level than the slot you spent

People also forget to account that when judging the Champion Fighter. Their level 7 feature also do that, and they round it up, making it so they get more iniciative sooner than the Bard.

Does it make the Champion good? Not really, but it is something.

The fun things is you can add the d4 if you use guidance or bless on initiative too, or the bard inspiration. So in theory you can have a character whit 1d4+1d4+1d6 on initiative at level one

Jack-of-all-trades is just so good. Also applies to passive perception. Or to spell checks, etc.
