Once saved always saved is the only truth. How can we work to be saved when Christ already did the work for us.

My leaders always taught once saved always saved, but not from the perspective you mentioned. I always believed once saved always saved and still do but you have to be saved though. Once you are saved your desires are to please the Father with your lifestyle. Your heart belongs to him. You have no interest in doing what you did before. There is a place in God that you do not struggle with sin. You never look for anything as a license to sin and if you do you are not saved. I am not sure why teachers refute this belief system from the mindset of someone who is looking for a way to sin and justify their sin instead of from the mindset of someone who is truly SAVED in love with the Father, seeks to do his will, has an intimate relationship with Holy Spirit and one who has been deemed a friend of God. There is not a church in my community that doesn’t celebrate Christmas and Easter with cute things like hiding eggs and eating lots of food. They call it “fellowship” and feel like it’s an integral part of southern Christian tradition. No wonder true believers and followers of Jesus are disliked.

Once you’re truly saved, you’re always saved . False converts are not always saved. If you lose your salvation, you never had it. John 10:28 And I give them eternal life and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
The law is for the lawless and the commandments are to love one another and love God with all your heart, soul, and strength. Love covers a multitude of sin. We are dead to sin and alive in Christ (Romans 6:11). We should never take the way Jesus handled atonement lightly (Hebrews 10:29). Do not trample the Som of God underfoot; which means what Jesus did on the cross is enough. Following the law doesn’t save you, but faith in Jesus Christ does.
If the rapture is false, explain 1 Thessalonians 4:17. Of course grace is never a license to sin. Grace is given if you stumble. If you’re sinning purposely, then you need to rethink your salvation and relationship with God. You are not born again and are not saved if you continue in sin purposely.
If you feel that it is indeed paganism concerning holidays, then you must also consider almost everything we do is paganism, since everyday life consists of us doing things in the manner of which man has taught us to do. Your hairstyle is paganism. In 1 Corinthians 11:14 it states “it is a shame for men to have long hair. Some will dispute it and say that wasn’t meant for us, but that actually discredits the entire Bible if that’s the case. Lastly I pray everyone believes in hell, that way they’ll strive for the Kingdom.
