When it happens its a very unique experience in the sense that it's unrelenting agony unlike anything else I've felt. The car ride to the doctor felt like an eternity, it hurt so much that I couldn't stand right and I wanted to throw up just from the feeling alone. It's something you simply can't ignore, you are fully aware of how terrible it is every second.

I’m a kidney stone former, and have been since birth. I’ve had about 12-15 of them over the two decades I’ve been alive. And you know what’s weird? After all those, they’re more of an annoyance now than anything. An excruciatingly painful annoyance that makes me piss tiny slivers of flesh, but it’s just a “Here we go again.” at this point.
